Mexican Marigold - Sweet Gum background

So this is the product of a morning stroll through Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens in Santa Barbara. I'll have a more extensive post with more photos later this week, so if you need another fix, come on back.
This is Mexican Marigold (Tagetes lemmonii) with a backdrop of Toona (Cedrela sinensis), and Sweet Gum (Liquidambar styraciflua).

Another great photo.I'm not familiar with this plant. I'll need to do some research on it. Happy GTS,

Hi GWG,
Welcome to GTS thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting.
Nice blog you got here.
Welcome to GTS. The Mexican marigold. I didn't really make a GTS post today. Instead I showed what's happening in my part of the country and one photo of my garden, which is covered in snow.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and commenting. Nice to meet you.
Blessings,
Mary
Thanks for the visit and comment on my GTSunday...I love marigold but not their smell "hehehe". I plant every year during the summer and they have the most gorgeous blooms too. See you on the next entry.
I love marigolds of all kinds. Nice photo! I'm sending you an email about Green Thumb Sunday ...
How nice to see flowers in bloom! It's gotten cold here... however, my Christmas Cactus is at least blooming! If you drop by my blog you can see how brown my flowers have gotten!
Your photography is lovely as well!
I'll be back again to get a blooming fix!
Hi Billy...
Thanks for the links to that beautiful nursery, and I wanted to tell you that I saw some cuttings of 'Tasmanian Tiger' alongside the road yesterday, and I meant to stop and pick them up, but got distracted, and did not. I love their sharply contrasting yellow and green thin leaves. I am looking at all at of the pretties at the San Marcos site! Thanks again!
Julie
Hi Garden Wise Guy,
Welcome to GTS and thank you for the visit. Good to see something in bloom somewhere in the world.
See you next week and keep rocking.
Cheers Mark
I like the focus of your picture, very clever.
How do you get involved in Green thumb Sunday?
Correy: I think I stumbled into Green Thumb by viewing another blog that was already a member. I went to the site, signed up, got some instructions on how to participate and that was that. I had some confusion getting the code to work in all the right places, but that's because I'm a bit dense in that area.
You can reach the main Green Thumb Sunday site now by going through my blog link near the top of the page. In one day I watched the hits on my blog jump significantly. I also discovered a lot of interesting blogs I'm now linking to. All around, a great deal.
Stay in touch.
Beautiful photo. Its nice to find little treasures in our little walks, isnt it?
